For more than 50 years ParaQuad NSW the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of NSW has provided services and support to people with spinal cord injury.
People with disabilities often have difficulty achieving their desired quality of life without support and assistance. ParaQuad, a not for profit organisation, provides a support system that aims to meet the needs of this group of people and their families.
ParaQuad NSW (the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of NSW) is a charitable, member-based association. Since 1961 ParaQuad NSW has provided specialised services and support for people with spinal cord injury and related physical disabilities.
ParaQuad provides services that aim to meet the needs of people with a spinal cord injury and their families at every stage of life, promoting and encouraging rehabilitation, getting back into community and independence. ParaQuad works to actively tailor services to individual requirements and cultural needs.
Funds raised will assist in the provision of a specialist spinal cord injury primary health care services team including a spinal injuries nurse, occupational therapists and a social worker. These valuable staff resources need funding to assist over the 100 clients they service currently.
