RSPCA WA was founded in 1892 and is the leading authority on animal welfare issues in WA. RSPCA WA is responsible, through our Inspectorate, for enforcing the Animal Welfare Act. We work with Government, industry bodies and the community to improve animal welfare and campaign on a range of issues such as puppy farming or illicit breeding, battery hens, sow stalls and live export.
RSPCA is a charity and relies on fundraising activities for 94% of its funding to provide care and new homes for lost, abandoned, injured or abused animals, to investigate all reports of alleged animal cruelty as well as educating the community and teaching compassion and responsible behaviour towards animals.
