How will the funds be used?

  • To help build and renovate the remaining buildings on site for the programmes to start.
  • To insure that all the equipment that is to go into the buildings is up to government standards, especially the kids equipment.
  • Indoor and outdoor equipment is need for all the children's programmes
  • Kinder building needs to be fitted with toilet facilities etc
  • The doctor surgery needs all equipment and furniture
  • Fresh Start, our food programme has a yearly running cost of $20,000 and growing, as we have grown 400% in the last 2 years.
  • Our community cooking classes will require more equipment as we only have one commercial oven and will need all new cooking equipment.
  • All volunteers need to have police and working with children checks
  • All computers for the up and coming computer courses that we will be running
  • The buying of a cool room and a cool room van for our Fresh Start Programme, including the fuel cost.
  • We will be able to buy more sustainable food for the breakfast programme, as the funds only cover cereal, toast and juice, we would like to be able to provide fresh fruit.
  • We would like to be able to offer transport to the elderly on the days that we have our community lunch.
  • We have fresh food donated to us on a regular basis from local market gardens for our food programme but we still need to be able to buy some products.
