It's time to get serious about prevention!

Prevention United is an exciting new mental health promotion charity.

We specialise in the promotion of mental wellbeing and the prevention of mental health conditions, across the lifespan.

We believe that mental health conditions are not inevitable, and they can be prevented through efforts to address the underlying risk and protective factors associated with these conditions.

We take a public-health informed, preventative approach to:

• Raise awareness about the importance of promoting good mental health and preventing mental ill-health across the Australian population, and how this can be achieved.
• Advocate for greater government action and investment in prevention, and for the social policies that help to create more mentally healthy communities.
• Provide wellbeing and prevention programs that keep people well, and reduce their risk of experiencing a mental health condition.
• Build the capacity of educators, workplaces, local councils and others who want to promote the mental wellbeing of students, staff and local communities, through our training and consulting services.

We need to stop waiting until people become unwell before we take action.
