The Queensland Wildlife Carers & Volunteers Association Inc is a non-profit group dedicated to native wildlife. We rescue, and care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife for release back into the wild. We are based in Bundaberg but have members located over a wide area, stretching as far as Agnes Water in the north, to Childers in the south and inland to Gin Gin and surrounding areas.
Wildlife carers are all volunteers and receive no government funding. It has become increasingly expensive particularly for fuel required for doing rescues in country areas and visits to vets. Carers are responsible for all housing requirements, food, equipment and vet bills. Most are pensioners or on limited incomes but the animals' needs always take priority. We are appealing to you to assist our struggling volunteers who rescue and care 24/7 for the love of our unique Australian wildlife.
