Rainbow Community Angels is a community-led safety initiative based in Victoria, Australia. Starting with a group of only five volunteers in 2023, the organisation now has over 150 trained volunteers across the state.
Rainbow Community Angels supports a wide range of community events across both urban and regional areas, providing an affirming presence and support to shield LGBTIQA+ young people, rainbow families and allies from anti-social threats. Past events include Eltham Library Drag Storytime, the Minus18 Queer Formal at NGV, the Headspace Morwell Pride Party, the ChillOut Festival Drag Storytime and many more.
Sadly, the ongoing threat of anti-LGBTIQA+ fringe groups continues to keep our services in high demand. Your generous donation will help cover the costs of administration, equipment, supplies and delivering training and activations across Victoria. We especially welcome recurring donors, as this helps us build some reliability and sustainability into our finances.
