Rural Alive & Well is committed to building healthy and resilient rural communities in Tasmania, to reduce the prevalence of suicide in ages 14yrs and above. We are both on the ground with farmers and in local communities running prevention & awareness programs
With mental health challenges being faced by nearly 1 in 5 Australians, it's now more than ever that we need to be building healthy and resilient communities. If we can help build healthy foundations within these communities and ‘debunk’ the stigma, stereotype and fears around mental health, then we can have a major impact on the statistics that show that on average, 9.1 people lose their life to suicide each day.
RAW has existed for over 13 years, and it's because of the local community and their abundant generosity that we have been able to grow into the organisation that we are today.
