Refuge of Hope Inc is a not for profit organisation that was born out of a desire to serve and assist migrant, refugees and international students from Latin America in Melbourne.

Many of these people are affected by personal issues, isolation, lack of connectedness to a local community and struggles as they adjust to a new culture and life in Australia.

Our priority is to build greater community connectedness, social cohesion and help them to make a healthy and happy transition into their local community and the Australian way.

• We provide emergency support and relief in situations of homelessness, death of a friend or relative back home, relationship problems, depression, lack of adequate food and financial counseling.

• Our social worker is available for mentoring, professional advice and general counseling.

• We are committed to providing professional and quality service in a timely and efficient manner for students.

• Our part time staff member and volunteers are all of Latin American descent. They offer bilingual skills and a vast and diverse range of life and work experience including, counseling, finance, interpreting, translating and understanding of governments and welfare departments.
