Ruby had a way of inspiring people and bringing joy to those around her. Her laughter, love, passion, and cheekiness touched the hearts of so many, leaving a lasting impression. Ruby was an advocate for social justice.

Ruby died shortly after her 19th birthday, she had begun studying for a health promotion degree with hopes of one day centering her work on supporting and working alongside marginalized communities. We have chosen to raise funds for the Blue Mountains Refugee Support group as a way of continuing and honoring Ruby’s legacy. The money that you donate in Ruby’s memory will go directly to supporting a young person, from a refugee background, to further their education in health related studies.

Ruby’s partner, Jarrah, is kayaking 415km down the Murray River over 5 days as part of the Massive Murray Paddle  February 2023.  Jarrah is paddling in memory of Ruby with the hope of raising support and funds for this great cause. By honouring a cause close to Ruby’s heart, Jarrah and the team Kayaking with him, wish to continue Ruby’s dream and share the love she so generously gave.
