Empowering young people to take on the world!
The Run Beyond Project is a not for profit charity which aims to help disadvantaged young people in Australia through the delivery of running coaching and mentoring programs. The programs are designed to provide life skills training, with a core focus around goal setting, commitment and resilience. We also create opportunities for students to build networks with their communities both inside and outside of the school environment, fostering a sense of belonging and social inclusion.
Through our programs, we teach young Australia's to Run Beyond their doubts and fears and take on the world.
What we do
Students committ to a fun but challenging program which sees them undertake classroom activities and athletic traning as they prepare to complete a goal running event. With a flexible curriculum and interim tasks and events throughout their journey, The Run Beyond Project ensures that students are physically, mentally and emotionally equipped to overcome challenges that they face in life.
Who we help
The Project is targeted at high school students who are identified as being disavantaged or vulnerable and in need of support.
Our students come from a range of demographics, including refugee and migrant backgrounds, Indigenous Australians, and those who grow up within a low socio economic environment or are experiencing social isolation, discrimination or abuse.
