In July, Dave and Nic will run a half marathon to support UsherKids Australia. Dave, an USH Dad and Nic, an USH Aunt are no strangers to running, having completed a marathon or two between them over the years.

For families, receiving a diangosis of Usher syndrome for their young child can be crushing.  Usher syndrome is a rare genetic condition that causes deafness, deteriorating vision impairment and vestibular dysfunction.  Families describe this time as isolating, frightening and overwhelming.  By providing education, information and support to families during these crutial early years, UsherKids Australia is reducing this lonliness and dispear for families.  But to continue this support, we rely on the generosity of our community.
