SALA 2027’s open-access program drops in July 2027. Sign up to SALA Festival News to be among the first to know when more than 700 exhibitions across hundreds of venues statewide are announced; alongside our curated program of artist-led tours, workshops and events.

About SALA Festival

Since 1998 the open-access SALA Festival has presented more than 14,000 exhibitions and events, giving artists at all levels of their career an invaluable opportunity to gain recognition for their work and develop their careers. 

Complementing the open-access program, SALA pays local artists to deliver SALA-run events and projects, including residencies, tours, workshops, special events, award judging, podcast interviews and talks.

Donations to the SALA Artist Engagement Fund go towards creating opportunities for South Australian Visual Artists to earn money from their work. 

SALA Festival, ShopSALA and the SALA Artist Engagement Fund are run by SA Living Artists Inc, a registered charity. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
