Each year in Australia approximately 58,000 couples experience reproductive loss: About 55,000 experience early pregnancy loss, 1,750 babies are stillborn and about 900 babies die in the first twenty-eight days after birth... SANDS (QLD) relies on your generous donation to provide vital support, information and advocacy services to Queenslanders who have experienced the loss of a baby at any stage from conception through to infancy. SANDS(QLD) works tirelessly to raise greater awareness and understanding within the wider community.
How will the funds be used?
Your kind donation will be used to help support the SANDS (QLD) office, train volunteer listeners, facilitate support group meetings, stock the borrowing library, fund the production of literature and fact sheets and help maintain the day to day running of the organisation.
Key Areas of Expenditure
Fund the printing of fact sheets and literature for parents, friends and relative who have experienced the loss of a baby.
Fund the initial distribution of the SANDS (QLD) newsletter to newly bereaved parents.
Fund support group meetings.
