Over the past 3 months we have been lobbying the Federal and NSW governments to provide funding to maintain our practice as a unique, specialist legal centre offering free legal assistance to vulnerable people in NSW to access Centrelink payments and resolve unfair debts.
Without adequate funding we will be forced to reduce our services and disband our First Nations Access Project.
Your donation will go to our First Nations Access Project, helping us to continue to build resources and a culturally safe community engagement program that includes workshops, resource distribution, and directly supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Your donation will help Welfare Rights Centre clients including women leaving abusive relationships, persons with disability seeking to live independently in the community, youth completing higher education, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people and communities rebuilding their lives after natural disasters.
Know that you are supporting people who are often desperate and struggling to meet their basic needs, with no where else to turn for help with their problems with Centrelink.
Help support this cause by creating your own 'CrowdRaiser' fundraising page.

Welfare Rights Centre acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners of the land. We recognise their continued custodianship of the land, waters, and seas in which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present, and celebrate their unique cultural knowledge.
