We are a community based not-for-profit, developed initially by a few dedicated people in response to a need for residential accommodation for People with Disabilities. Our first residence was opened in 1984, with the second residence opening in 1987.

As an organisation, S.C.O.P.E. Inc. uses a flexible, inclusive and evolving approach in person centred planning in order to meet the unique individual needs, goals and aspirations of people being supported by S.C.O.P.E. Inc. It is our policy that each person being supported by S.C.O.P.E. Inc. has in place systems and procedures for person centred planning that involves the person being supported by S.C.O.P.E. Inc. and their families/guardians. S.C.O.P.E. Inc. also supports and promotes the involvement of families in the support of the family member with a disability and recognises the importance of family relationships.
