Beach and ocean clean-up Far North Great Barrier Reef, Queensland
Turtles are desperate for our help in this region.
There is so much debris on the mainland beaches and the islands that a barge would need to be towed
to bring it back—we're talking tonnes.
This includes significant turtle habitats, nesting islands, feeding areas, mating areas, and even some Islands called ‘The Turtle Group!’
The marine debris is so eneormous it will take a few trips to make the difference. These are remote areas that no-one is looking after.
