Here at the Lilydale Unit we are committed to assisting the community with a range of emergency events. Whether someone is trapped in a vehicle and needs to be extricated, or a building is damaged and needs temporary repairs to make the scene safe, we are on call to assist you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Regardless of a disaster that strikes thousands of people at once or one family in the middle of the night, highly trained State Emergency Service volunteers are always there when you need them most.
Lilydale SES receives limited funding from state and local governments and therefore relies heavily on donations from the public to ensure we are able to maintain and replace our equipment when required and provide the appropriate environment for our members to train.
With the coronavirus pandemic we are also limited in our options to raising funds from the public. This includes our twice-annual tin rattle on the corner of Main and Anderson Streets, Lilydale.
Where do your donations go?
Your donations provide support to our SES members where state and local funding fall short. Money raised from people like yourselves is put towards a multitude of items vital to providing emergency response. This includes, but is not limited to:
We understand that the affects of coronavirus may have put you in a tough financial position - it has done the same to us! However if you do have the capacity to spare a few dollars here and there, we would be most grateful.
Your kindness is much appreciated!
