VicSES Heidelberg Unit ( formerly Northcote Unit) responds to calls for assistance in Emergency situations in the municipalities of Banyule, Darebin and Yarra.
Working with other agencies, our volunteers also assist in Search and Rescue operations and in Bushfire support roles across the country.
The unit has a specialised bike squad dedicated to assist in Search and Rescue activities.
Working with our communities, volunteers are also actively engaged in building awareness and resilience in the home. Emergency Preparedness is a key role of this group.
