SHARC - Self Help Addiction Resource Centre

SHARC General Appeal

Our mission is to provide opportunities for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction and related problems to recover and achieve meaningful, satisfying and contributing lives.

Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC) is a Victorian community based, not for profit organisation, incorporated since 1997. SHARC provides housing, education, advocacy and family support to members of our community who have been impacted by the effects of alcohol and drug use. In some cases this is co-occurring with mental health and SHARC provides support in this area also. SHARC works with families, individuals people in prisons and youth through a peer support model. Our team is made up of people with the combination of lived experience and professional expertise. The interlinking of these two types of knowledge is why SHARC is richly unique; not only do those seeking help benefit from the range of professional qualifications but also the lived experience of recovery or transition needed to establish a meaningful and purposeful life.

To secure our future, we need your help. Here at SHARC, where Family Drug Help, APSU and Recovery Support Services and Renegotiating relationships, do their great work, we believe that life is a two way street.
