Since its inception, Shaun Parker & Company's impact on audiences and young people has been far reaching. One in six primary students experience bullying.  Give to our Anti-bullying dance program THE YARD to stamp out bullying. Your gift will be doubled by match funding.   

With more than one in six primary school children experiencing bullying, arts intervention program The Yard can change lives.

THE YARD was developed by Western Sydney teenagers in conjunction with leading choreographer and dancer, Shaun Parker. Performances and education workshops provide teachers and children tools to combat school-yard bullying.

After taking part in The Yard program*:

  • 91% of children said they would not bully someone.
  • 81% of children felt more resilient against bullying.
  • 85% learnt how to help those being bullied.

Winner of the Australian Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Youth and Community Dance as well as a Helpman Awards Nominee for Best Children’s Production, Shaun Parker & Company is seeking donations to help deliver The Yard anti-bullying program.

Donations given before 18 May 2018 will be matched by Creative Partnerships’ Plus1 fund, doubling the value and power of your gift.

Your donation will ensure The Yard is can be accessed by thousands of children at less advantaged schools across New South Wales.

Drawing inspiration from Lord of the Flies, The Yard tackles the topics of bullying, conflict and the need to finding unity in the diversity of culture, gender and ethnicity of the Australian school yard.

Its ground-breaking works are based on an intrinsic relationship to music, and have heart and humour at their core. Shaun Parker & Company’s works inspire, surprise, challenge and move audiences.

Your support will increase opportunities for young people to engage in the arts and help Shaun Parker & Company meet its goal for every primary aged student to be a part of this vital anti-bullying program.
