On 65 Roses Day, I will be shaving my head to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, and to encourage donations that will go entirelyto funding life saving research via the Cystic Fibrosis Australia organisation.
Cystic fibrosis is the most common life threatening recessive genetic condition affecting children and young adults, yet many people no nothing about it. The life expectancy of people living with CF has increased within Australia in recent years, though it is still only 35 years of age.
My incredible friend, Taleesha Murphy, who lives with cystic fibrosis (and kicks it's bum I might add) inspires me everyday to count my blessings. This year has seen Taleesha and her partner Mitchell get engaged and in August we will celebrate Taleesha's 25th birthday. Her life is just beginning.
This is for Taleesha, her friends that are now in heaven, and for the other Aussie's kicking CF's bum.
