Support After Suicide

It’s one of those things we hear about but hope will never happen to us - a family member or friend ending their life by suicide.

But with suicide the leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 44 and the second leading cause of death for people aged 45 to 54 it’s happening to more people than you might realise.

Support After Suicide provides support to individuals, families and children who are bereaved by suicide.

The specialised counselling and support services we offer can guide people through their bereavement – a time of intense and overwhelming grief and trauma. We do this through individual and group counselling, outreach, creative programs, an online community, and information sharing. We also tailor programs for parents, siblings and children.

We know how critical this support is – the sad and shocking reality is that many of those who are bereaved by suicide will themselves attempt suicide.

Your gift can help us provide the necessary professional and timely support for people suffering the intense and difficult grief following the suicide of a loved one.
