Your contributions carry Moogahlin projects forward to take First Peoples stories to audiences locally, regionally and internationally. Donations now will go towards shows such as Healing Scars by Warren Mason, and Koori Gras Divas - One Night Only, Wilcannia!
For Healing Scars, we’re aiming to fund the creation of new maliyan — wedge-tailed eagle — wings. Since the work’s development through the 2023 Yellamundie Festival, we have used borrowed wings; now, as Healing Scars prepares for its premiere and future touring life, we want the production to have its own wings, designed by the show’s creator Warren Mason (Yuwaalaraay), with colours and materials selected by him to be culturally appropriate.
Partner with us in achieving this vision to honour the work's cultural basis, its visual power and the story it carries.
Healing Scars premieres at Carriageworks in July. Read on for more details. We'd love to see you there.
Koori Gras Divas - One Night Only, Wilcannia!
Your support will contribute towards taking our Divas to another remote community later this year.
After three successful years at Baiame’s Ngunnhu Festival in Brewarrina, community members in Wilcannia have reached out to bring the show there — not only as a one-night performance, but also through workshops that support local rainbow community members to step up, participate and perform.
For LGBTQIA+ communities in regional and remote areas, visibility, safety and celebration matter deeply.
Bringing Koori Gras Divas to Wilcannia is about creating space for joy, self-expression and community connection on Barkindji Country.
For nearly two-decades Moogahlin has lifted up First People Storytellers so their stories can soar.
