The NSW Wildlife Council (NWC) is the peak body representing wildlife rescue, rehabilitation organisations, and hospitals across New South Wales. We work at a statewide level to advocate for stronger wildlife protection, coordinate sector-wide and synergistic campaigns, and directly support the people and organisations caring for native animals on the ground.

While frontline rescuers and carers respond to injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife every day, NWC strengthens the systems around them - amplifying their voices, improving access to training and shared resources, and leading coordinated, high-impact action that no single organisation could achieve alone.

By aligning advocacy, education, and public awareness, our campaigns create ripple effects across policy, behaviour change, and on-the-ground practice - reducing harm before it occurs and strengthening the entire wildlife rescue and rehabilitation sector.
