For over 50 years, Riding for the Disabled Victoria has been creating opportunities for people with disability to experience the physical, emotional and social benefits of connecting with horses.
Across our 33 centres throughout Victoria, more than 1,200 volunteers and over 200 horses help deliver experiences that build confidence, independence, communication, physical skills and a sense of achievement.
Every participant's journey is different. Some take their first steps towards greater independence. Others develop new friendships, improve their balance and coordination, or discover a sense of freedom and accomplishment that stays with them long after they leave the arena.
