Swimcerely Yours is: 

Swimming more than we’ve ever swum before! We have been training hard, and getting our goggles ready for 24 hours of pool power from 4pm Apr 19 to 4pm April 20 in the Revo Fitness 24hr Swim for Ocean Heroes, and raising crucial funds to provide free surfing experiences for neurodiverse children. 

How can I help?

Buy a ticket in our special prize raffle! They are $25 each and there’s a major cash prize to be won. Please ask a team member you know to sell you a raffle ticket. Or if you don’t want to enter the prize raffle, you can donate directly via this page. 

What is the challenge we’ve put ourselves up for?

Approx 300 members of the community will take to the pool, where each team will swim, relay-style, for the entire 24 hour period, continuously. A few of us are even rolling out the swags to camp at the pool! Our fingers are going to get wrinkly, our energy will wane, our hair might turn green, we might swallow some pool water, we might not get a lot of sleep, we might want to throw in the (pool) towel… but knowing your donations are coming in, will keep us going!

Swimcerely Yours is: 

Hoping to raise our team goal of $5,000+.  The money will enable Ocean Heroes to run 30 free events in WA in 2024; that will provide more than 1,500 neurodiverse individuals the opportunity to access the ocean in 2024 in WA, as well as support the NSW programs.

ABOUT OCEAN HEROES 

Ocean Heroes - founded in 2016 by surfers Luke Hallam, Sam Moyle and Tom Johnston- is a charity that aims to improve the wellbeing of those living with autism and their families through surfing. 

Ocean Heroes combines compassion, skills and patience to provide the thrill of catching a wave in a free and unique experience, with each child receiving individual support from up to three volunteers each. Ocean Heroes provide not only surf skills, but an education in beach safety, and the chance to foster positive social interactions between families living with autism.

Ocean Heroes has been able to provide this unique opportunity to over 9,000 people in WA living with autism, with regular events held across Perth, as well as regionally in Secret Harbour, Margaret River, Denmark, Albany, Esperance, Geraldton and Broome. In 2023, the program expanded into NSW with a permanent monthly events program, and has plans to travel to northern NSW and Queensland in May - bringing Ocean Heroes to even more of Australia.
