The primary focus of Southern Youth and Family Services Association Incorporated is youth crisis accommodation; however we also provide mid-long term accommodation facilities for youth in transition to independent living. We are an umbrella organisation for a range of youth accommodation services, youth and family support and counselling services, and specific projects relating to these areas. The Association has been working with young homeless and disadvantaged adults for 28 years in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region.
The principal aims of the Association are two-fold. The first is to provide support and assistance to young people who are disadvantaged, homeless or at risk of homelessness, and their families, in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and the wider community. The second is to act as an advocate for, and facilitator of, structural change, which achieves improved living situations for young people and their families. We currently operate 17 services in the Wollongong and Shoalhaven areas.
We are looking for individuals or corporate organisations to partner with us in our work with disadvantaged and homeless youth.
Funds will be used for assistance and support provided to disadvantaged and homeless youth.
