At Technology for Ageing and Disability SA (TADSA), we strive to remove barriers to independence. For over 47 years, we’ve been providing customised solutions for people who cannot find a commercial alternative to the challenges they face.

Through the dedication of our technically skilled volunteer craftsmen and women, TADSA designs and builds personalised equipment solutions that enable optimal outcomes, and supports independence, comfort and joy. Ultimately, we provide the gift of independence—supporting quality of life, participation, and inclusion, and helping people navigate each day as easily and simply as possible.

We spoke with writer, motivational speaker, and mentor Jacy Arthur about why she turns to TADSA’s Technical Volunteers:

“I was born with cerebral palsy (CP). I face challenges to my independence, day in and day out. I am one of about 40,000 Australians living with CP. Do you know that one in every 500 babies is diagnosed with CP at birth?

I call on TADSA when no one else can help because anything is possible when barriers to access and mobility are overcome and design is inclusive.”
