Young people often need immediate financial support with essential items such as clothing, food, medical and dentistry services as well as other specialist services (counsellors or therapy), to help stabilise their situation and get them back on their feet.

Taldumande accommodates 65 young people every night across the 26 properties we manage. Our current funding does not cover expenses regarding the essential and emergency upkeep such as repairs and maintenance of these properties.

Taldumande provides financial assistance for these two essential areas purely from its own resources - ongoing fundraising from donations and grants.

How will the funds be used?

For our young people: Based on the individual's essential need, as evaluated and approved by the young person's Case Manager, funding will be provided to fulfil a specific and immediate need to improve their mental/physical wellbeing and safety.

For our properties: Taldumande manages a range of accommodation properties from freestanding houses, to semi's and units. As required, either in emergency or maintenance situations, funding will be allocated to repair or maintain a specific aspect of the property to improve the safety of the residents and staff.
