For many South Australian teenagers living in out-of-home care or experiencing family crisis, this is their reality.
Teenagers are the largest group supported by Backpacks 4 SA Kids - yet they’re the age group we receive the least donations for.
To our teens, this isn’t “just stuff.”

We provide only brand-new clothing to ensure every young person receives items that are dignified, appropriate and chosen with care. Each Backpack is packed by size, not age - recognising that every young person is unique.
Last year alone, we prepared almost 1,800 backpacks for young people size 12 and above. Winter items like jumpers and long pants are consistently low in stock.
