For over 30 years The Buttery, situated in the Byron Bay Hinterland has been providing a therapeutic community for adults choosing to recover from drug and alcohol addiction. The 8 month live in program includes yoga, mediation, art therapy and attention to diet. A halfway house is available in Byron Bay for residents to assimilate back into the community after completing the program. The current building is very old and can only accommodate 28 residents with associated staff. We own 40 acres of beautiful land for the new building site. Our project is to create an inspiring set of buildings to allow us to accept double the number of residents as well as provide a low maintenance, purpose built, environmentally friendly and enjoyable healing environment for our therapeutic community residents, outreach services, administration and counselling staff.
