TUC is a progressive church built on the foundations of community, contemporary understandings of the Bible and a commitment to outreach and service. Toorak Uniting Church (TUC) had its origins in the Toorak Presbyterian Church, established in 1875 with the Rev. Murdoch MacDonald as Minister.
Toorak Uniting Church has been a proud member of the Toorak Ecumenical Movement since signing the Ecumenical Agreement in 1980. We study together in Lenten Studies, we worship together at Easter, Pentecost and Advent; and we pray for our partner churches: St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St John’s Anglican Church and the Swedish Church
Our beautiful building constantly needs repairs and maintenance, and our number one priority right now is repairing our spire. Just keeping the church open with working electricity, gas (for heating), the organ serviced, along with the gardens watered, and a host of other tasks costs an eye-watering amount each year. Toorak Uniting makes no profit from your donation, as every cent is poured back into the church restoration which really needs it.
Current estimates of the cost to repair the spire are in excess of $2.5M, a figure which will wipe out TUC reserves unless action is taken. The repairs are urgent and need to commence as soon as possible. The good news is that a tax-deductible account
held by the National Trust is about to open to receive donations to support the repair of the spire.
Donations made to the Toorak Uniting Church's restoration appeal through the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) are allowable as deductions for tax purposes.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Victoria and recognise their continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and future.
