Trillion Trees

Trillion Trees Challenge!

Trillion Trees (formerly Men of the Trees) is a Western Australia not-for-profit, Incorporated Association, founded in 1979. Since that time, it has planted more than 15 million seedlings to prevent the spread of deserts, erosion and salinity. We hold the Guinness World Record for 100,450 trees planted simultaneously.

The Trillion Trees Challenge:

A world audit of trees, led by Crowther of Yale university, shows there are three trillion trees left in the world. This is half of what there used to be and numbers are still declining. Trees are essential to life as we know it. Here is our challenge to you to bring about the change the world needs:

If each of the 7.5+ billion people on this planet plant 140 trees we will have 1 trillion more trees in the world.

It averages $5 per tree planted in larger community planting initiatives. This includes finding the land, growing strong seedling, preparing the ground for planting, organising the resources for planting and aftercare.

Donations of $2 and above are tax deductible.

2 trees = $10

5 trees = $25

10 trees = $50

100 trees = $500

The magic number 140 trees = $700

How will the funds be used?

The funds will be used to support getting trees in the ground, and growing an awareness of the importance of trees to life itself.
