The turtle monitoring program at the Devilbend Natural Features started back in November 2018, with an aim to investigate and provide practical solutions to turtle nests being dug up by foxes. We have learned a lot and implemented innovative approaches to protecting these precious creatures. For the past several seasons our volunteers have worked tirelessly to restore turtle habitat by weeding and planting and to map turtle nesting sites and cover nests to protect eggs from predation.
