In 2026, TYO is joining forces with its youth orchestra buddies in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, to bring FREE Big Busk music performances to iconic locations – and raise funds for exceptional ensemble music education and performance opportunities along the way.
Join TYO at PW1 on Saturday 14 November, to experience fantastic non-stop music performances from the accomplished young musicians and singers of Tasmanian Youth Orchestras.
We'll also be welcoming special guests from Devonport's Crescendo Music Hub; and we'll check in with parts of Adelaide Youth Orchestras' Big Busk, happening the same day!
Everything will lead up to our HUGE combined finale involving more than 200 young musicians and singers performing The Duck Song by Australian composer Lachlan Massey – then Tchaikovsky's famous 1812 Overture!
As part of the TYO Big Busk, each TYO ensemble will be raising funds to go towards TYO programs and touring equipment. As a registered charity, TYO relies on donations to fund the gear, music and infrastructure that make quality ensemble music education possible. Make a general donation – or choose the orchestra or ensemble that you would like to support below and help Tassie's young musicians to play on!
