At UCW we aim to ensure there is no wrong door for anyone looking for support, guidance or connection in our community. We are here to walk alongside people and be trusted to help people make the right decisions for their individual needs.
Our services focus on homelessness, children’s services, independent living and accommodation, mental health and disability, and community / family support.
With 41 contracted services, we're a provider of choice for State and Federal government departments. In 2017/18, our 377 staff and 338 volunteers supported over 6,000 people in Western Australia. We are part of the Western Australian Alliance to End Homelessness.
Every night in and around the Perth CBD, an estimated 600 people struggle to access safe places to sleep. This rough sleeping crisis in our city compounds the existing trauma people have experienced and disrupts their ability to make sound decisions to assist their transition from homelessness.
UnitingCare West (UCW) is a long term participant in the life of the City of Perth, with extensive relationships throughout the community. Our current primary goal is to end rough sleeping in the Perth CBD and surrounds, with crisis intervention as a priority.
We believe we have the right positioning, model and expertise to fulfil this goal in collaboration with other agencies who support people experiencing homelessness.
We are seeking partnerships with individuals, corporate partners and local and state government bodies to help us achieve this goal.
Together, we can end this.
