You can empower a young woman for life, by enabling her to go to university and break the cycle of poverty.

Since 2005, Mekhala House has offered a safe, nurturing boarding home for at-risk girls from Prey Veng province. By providing access to food, healthcare, formal education, life skills training and resources for study, these girls are able to flourish, focus on their learning and contribute to a community that values education. After completing secondary school, most Mekhala House alumni seek further vocational or tertiary learning. Attaining further education enables them to engage in skilled professions and careers that would not otherwise be available to them. 

Your sponsorship of a university education will go towards supporting a Mekhala House alumni who has worked incredibly hard to earn a place at a university in Cambodia. These young women receive a university scholarship which cover tuition fees, while your generous donation provides additional financial support for living expenses such as rent, food, travel costs, study materials and other private study classes.
