After one of VANISH's recent webinars on the impacts of adoption on interpersonal relationships, a partner of an adoptee wrote to us:
"I was really blown away. It was so relatable — it gave me a very clear understanding of the adversity she is working through."
Adoption shapes the nervous system, sense of self, and ways of relating to others in complex ways. For many adoptees, finding the language and frameworks to make sense of their own experience can take decades. For the people around them, understanding what adoption-related trauma and grief actually looks like can make a real difference in their most important relationships.
Our psychoeducation webinars exist for both adoptees and the people supporting them — including partners, family members, friends, and professionals. They are free, accessible from anywhere, and designed for adult adoptees at different stages — whether you are newly starting to unpack your adoption experience, or you have been navigating it for years.
This EOFY, we are asking for your support to fund our 2026-27 webinar series — six new sessions covering topics such as an introduction to the 7 core issues of adoption, parenting as an adoptee, and healing attachment trauma through Internal Family Systems. With your help, we can bring in a range of expert facilitators and make each session free for up to 100 people.
This program is not yet funded. Any contribution, no matter what size, goes directly towards making it happen — and because these webinars are delivered online, every dollar reaches further than most services can.
Thank you for considering a gift to VANISH and for being part of this community. 💙
