By providing women with economic development opportunities, education and health care, entire families and communities are inspired to seek the dignity and hope of a life free from extreme poverty.

Sisters programme promotes entrepreneurship at the community level, which aims to create sustainable food and income security through Women's Groups and Mushroom Grow Houses. 

A HOME-BASED BUSINESS – Each family receives supplies and training on building and operating her own mushroom house. Mushrooms from this region are sold to restaurants in large cities and can often generate income of $200 per month (15x the average woman’s income as a day labourer)!

MEMBERSHIP IN A WOMEN’S GROUP – Your donation empowers women by providing community and training on managing a small business. Women are no longer reliant on "loan sharks" to meet the needs of their business or family.

HEALTH & WELLNESS TRAINING – As women meet for the Women’s Group, they also benefit from training on hygiene and nutrition, as well as topics like women’s and children’s rights and the dangers of trafficking.

SUPPORT & COMMUNITY - As women bond through the Women's Groups, they are strengthened by a new sense of community and have a place to turn if times get tough.
