Request for financial assistance: Due to a funding cut in 2014/15 budget Wimmera Information Network faced the prospect of winding up in 2016.

Wimmera Information Network (WIN) has had no core funding since regional councils amalgamation in 1995. We have exhauster our resources. WIN has been servicing the Wimmera regional with accurate and up to date information for 36 years.

Our funding and generated income falls short by some $10,000 any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

How will the funds be used?

To maintain accurate and up to date community information to ensure community consecutiveness across the Wimmera, Mallee Grampians region. To enable people to access vital information to assist them to engage services, join groups or clubs and gain knowledge to get the maximum out of life. This information is vital particularly in times of need and emergencies.

Key Areas of Expenditure

To maintain accurate and up-to date community information data entry
To cover ever increasing overhead and consumable costs of running a not-for profit organisation.
To continue to maintain WIN's data base of 2885 non-profit Community groups.
To develop sustainable practices for WIN.
