Each year, our volunteers help Western Australians living with life-limiting illness experience meaningful moments: visiting the beach one last time, attending a family gathering, returning home, or revisiting a place of deep personal significance. These journeys provide comfort, closure, dignity and connection — not only for the person, but for their loved ones.
Currently, our service relies on repurposed clinical vehicles. While safe and functional, these vehicles can feel medical and institutional. A purpose-designed Wish Ambulance will transform the experience — creating a calm, comforting, non-clinical environment that focuses on living, not illness.
Instead, it will be designed to create a calm, dignified and welcoming environment — one that prioritises comfort, connection and experience.
This vehicle will serve Western Australians for many years and enable hundreds of final wishes to be fulfilled.
