Women for Change creates opportunities for women from all walks of life to participate in philanthropy by providing a vehicle to donate. Individuals can give money and/or time and then contribute to decisions about which charity or community projects are supported, to help local women make a life change, or take a step toward greater well-being. 

There is overwhelming evidence that investing in women and girls has a flow on effect to families, communities and the environment. And, women suffer greater and often different disadvantage to men especially in developing countries but also in Australia and in the Bass Coast. That disadvantage must be addressed. Your donation will help us to address inequity that women and girls in our community face.

Please consider donating regularly to this project as every dollar helps build a fund that will earn greater interest and thus provide more and more money to improve the lives and well-being of women and girls in our community. One-off donations are also greatly appreciated.

Your donation will work in perpetuity - it is invested in a trust account (called Women For Change) that is managed by the Bass Coast Community Foundation. The income from this investment is distributed to causes and community organisations that address the needs of women and girls, only within the Bass Coast Shire. 

A working group consisting of community members determines the most impactful needs to address. It could be education for women, or health services, child care, aged person's care, or family violence, financial hardship and more. This working group uses evidence to assist its decisions and ensures projects that it funds make a meaningful impact.
