Women's Health Goulburn North East is an independent, regional health service run by women for women.

The Association develops and implements programs based on the social model of health, which works at a number of levels to empower women to increase control over, and improve their health.

How will the funds be used?

Donations will be used to support women who are experiencing financial hardship or disadvantage. The types of assistance include:

• Supporting women to exit a violent relationship, and building their financial capacity (financial pressure is the primary reason women return to a violent partner).
• Paying for medical expenses, e.g. new glasses.
• Contributing to education expenses, e.g. purchasing books or travel expenses.
• Enabling women with a disability to engage with their community, e.g. participating in sporting or recreational activities.
