What we do
We provide free legal and social work assistance to women in Queensland who experience domestic violence and family law matters. Many of the women we assist have experienced domestic violence for many years. For these women home is a place of fear, humiliation and threat.
We strive to ensure women receive vital legal and support so that they can live free from violence. Each year we help over 8,000 Queensland women through the provision of 24,000 services. However 1 in 3 calls to our Statewide Helpline cannot be answered due to community need and resource constraints. Without Women's Legal Service Queensland, many would have no where to turn.
