Our sixth, and most successful festival is over for another year. The authors have left town, the volunteers have packed away their shirts and attendees are busy reading through their new stack of books - but we head straight into planning mode.

During the festival, we heard many times that poeple didn't realise we were only partially-funded by Government grants, which is why we are reaching out to our community. While these grants have allowed us to sustain an annual festival, they cover just over a third of our operating costs. Ticketing covers another third, and we're hoping community support will fill the gap. As always, we aim to keep our operating costs and ticket prices down while delivering a world-class festival of ideas.

Every dollar entrusted to us delivers genuine community benefit. Nothing is wasted. The local economy is lifted and our dedicated community get to gather at our Festival Hub by the water to share in the joy of books, imaginative plots and hard-won life stories.
