For 21 years, Wombat's Wish has supported children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent - one of the most life-altering events a child can face. Our programs provide safe, supportive spaces where children and their families can connect, share their experiences and learn healthy ways to navigate grief.
Through our weekend grief programs, youth camps and one-on-one counselling, we help children build emotional resilience, reduce feelings of isolation, and develop lifelong coping skills. We know that early intervention can change the trajectory of a child's life - improving mental health, strengthening family relationships, and supporting engagement at school and in the community.
As a non-government funded charity, Wombat's Wish relies on the generosity of donors to deliver these essential services at no cost to families. It costs approximately $1,500 for a child to attend a weekend program, and around $35,000 to run the full weekend.
Our 21 for 21 campaign celebrates our 21 years of impact and invites our community to be part of the new chapter. When you give $21, $210, $2,100 or another amount, your donation directly supports children and families when they ned it most - funding counselling, programs and ongoing support.
Your support ensures that no child has to navigate the death of a parent alone. Together, we can provide connection, understanding, and hope for the future.

Wombat’s Wish acknowledges the Wadawarrung, Taungurung and Bunurong peoples as Traditional Custodians of the lands from which we live and work, and pay our deep respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
