The Great Southern is a vibrant, resilient region where young people benefit from strong communities, rich cultural heritage, and an exceptional natural environment. It is a place full of opportunity, where many young people thrive and make valuable contributions to their communities.

However, not every young person has the same opportunities. Some face significant challenges, including homelessness, poverty, family violence, mental health issues, social isolation, or barriers to education and employment. Living in a regional area can make it more difficult to access the services and support they need.

Youth Great Southern works to ensure every young person aged 12–25 has the opportunity to reach their potential. We advocate for young people and partner with local organisations to deliver practical programs that improve access to education, housing, healthcare, employment, life skills, and social connection.

Funds raised through the Youth Great Southern Community Impact Program support initiatives that respond to local needs and create lasting change. By investing in young people, we strengthen individuals, families, and communities, helping ensure the Great Southern remains a place where every young person can thrive.
