Want to make a real change in a young person’s life?
The Settlement provides Children and Youth programs for Sydney’s inner-city First Nations Young People (14-16yrs)
In October we’re organising a transformative cultural/leadership camp to Alice Springs.
We need your help to take 15 young people on this life-changing week-long camp.
It will be a journey of self-discovery, connection, and empowerment on Country.
Our goal is $60,000.
WHAT DOES THIS COVER?
This ambition goal covers cultural activities, flights, accommodation, meals, and fun activities.
This will be the first-time leaving Sydney for many of these inner-city young people. We want to make it unforgettable.
In Alice Springs they will connect with their heritage, learn from Elders, and build lifelong relationships. Cultural immersion instils a sense of pride and belonging.
WHY WE DO IT
Past kids have cherished their experiences and have returned to work with us, becoming mentors and leaders in our community.
Past participant turned Youth Worker - “These camps changed my life, got me through school, connected me more to my culture, made lifelong friends and steered me to find my passion to give back to community and work with young people. You’re not just supporting a singular camp; you’re investing in our inner-city kids and beyond.
