Hands at Work in Africa (Australia) Ltd

Arise + Build

Seven year old Agnes* lives with her grandmother, Loveness.  Agnes' mother passed away due to HIV, leaving her behind with her memory, and her disease. Agnes and her grandmother take care of each other, but there is no income and their small home, deep in the Zambian bush, is not secure… (*names changed)

Help us build a wall of protection around some of the most vulnerable children in Africa. The heart of Hands at Work is to reach 100,000 of Africa's most vulnerable children, who would otherwise not be reached.

"The magnitude of orphans due to HIV/AIDS is so large that an institutional response - besides not being in the best interests of the child - will never be the answer. Orphanages for more than 14 million orphans simply cannot be built and sustained." (UNAIDS, The Framework, 2004)

What can you do?

You can make a difference in the life of a vulnerable child in Africa.  Just $25 per month enables the church in Africa to provide one of these vulnerable children with access to food security, education and basic health care.
