Last year, Alice had the privilege of spending time in Africa with Hands at Work, visiting communities and seeing their ministry up close. What stood out most wasn’t just the scale of need, but the quiet, faithful love shown day after day by local volunteers - people who know the children by name, who show up consistently, and who care not only for their physical needs, but for each child’s emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Hands at Work partners with local churches to support some of the most vulnerable children and families. Their approach is deeply relational: equipping local people to care for their own communities, so that children can grow up in places of belonging rather than being separated from family and culture.
